Ruby & Rain was born when I continued to ask my bestie Hayley if she could increase the sizing range of her label White Chalk to cater for us curvy ladies. She continued to tell me that is wasn’t quite that simple so I proposed the idea of a new plus sized label. After months of talking, dreaming and playing with fabrics we got together and nutted out some designs that I knew us curvy ladies need and want. 

We then needed a name, we wanted something that made us both happy - Ruby & Rain. Ruby Bay is a special place in my life and Hayley is farming in Marlborough so whenever it rains she has a very happy husband. 

Hayley and I have been best mates since kindy and we have a story or two to tell but I'll leave that for another day. Working together has been great fun and we are excited to think where Ruby & Rain is heading!
